Is 2000-2002 Cherokee relaible

The 2000 and up Cherokee Sports are pretty nice. So nice they stopped making them because the Krauts where afraid that it would rob the Libby's market share. DumbA$$es...

I am gonna to buy a Cherokee (Not Grand Cherokee) for Canada's winter, just love the classic style. I prefer a 2000 or later. Are they still as good as

91 or older model? I hope it is relaible and last longer.

thanks

Herb

I think Daimler-Chrysler did a lot of cheapening over the years. We'll see whether that affects long term reliablity. The newer ones are certainly more refined ergonomically than the older ones. Whether that's a plus or minus is up to you. I like the look of my '93 better than the more car-like look of the newer ones, but on the other hand the climate controls are primitive and the window/lock controls are very hard to operate in the dark...
