Hello everyone:
I'm having a difficult time removing my shocks. I'm trying to install Bar Pin Eliminators, but I cannot figure out how to remove the top part of the shock in the front. There is one bolt on top, but the top part of the shock just spins when I turn the bolt, and there is no way to grab onto the shock to hold it into place. I almost broke the metal casing trying to hold it with a pipe wrench. There must be a way that I overlooked. Please help!

I think I use a box end wrench with a pair of vise grips grabbing the flat of the shaft at the top.

Well I was planning to save my shocks, so that wouldn't be an option, but I figured out how to put them on without removing the shocks.

Man, those are a PIA to install. You did it with the shocks on the vehicle?? Dang.

well yea one one side i got the metal sleve in ok, but the rubber part is slightly offcenter. i dont think it'll affect much. the other side i still have yet to put the metal sleve on. but yea, removing the bar pins was so freaking hard.
