Where to refill dana 20 rear-end?

Apr 29, 2004 6 Replies

I bent the lower lip on mine and it leaked out a bunch of fluid. Now I can't find where to refill it. I could have sworn I did this about 6 months ago right after I bought the Jeep... I just can't seem to locate the fill plug now. Can someone tell me where it is? Thanks!

I assume you mean AMC 20 rear end. It's filled through a hole on the left front side of the housing, with an allen screw headed plug.

Yes, that's the one I mean, sorry. Left as in driver's side? I'm going out to look for it now. Just welded my gas pedal back together. The

*last* thing I have to do now is to refill the rear differential and I'm ready for the trails... Gotta find that fill plug...

Found it! Thanks! Test drive time!

That's an AMC20 rear end, not a Dana 20.

There is a fill hole on the front of the case, on the passenger's side.

Left as you are laying on the ground looking up. It is on the Passenger's side.
