WJ Timing chain

Feb 22, 2004 7 Replies

Wife has a 99WJ Limited and is telling me that she needs to get the timing adjusted before she hits 70,000 mi. Having only a vague mechanical knowledge myself, I turn to the collective experts....

Is there any truth to this? Would this normally be done durring a tune-up?

TIA,

Chad

There is no physical adjustment on the timing to go 'off' so there is nothing to adjust.

Either it works or it don't.

The chains last the life of the engine normally, not like the rubber belts other engines use.
