Except when it was broken, I'd guess. My wife rides also...an '85 Superglide. This week my bike's broken, but my Jeep runs...her bike runs, but her Jeep is broken...it just never ends. I keep threatening to sell the Shovel and get a Honda...then I get it running again...

Yeah, that was the thing. I had a Harley AND a Jeep. When the Hog died on the road somewhere, the Jeep couldn't get it home again. So I bought a beater truck, just to bring it home.
Once, I broke a valve off it's stem at 70 on the freeway. The valve stuck into the piston and locked the motor. Whew! Got on the clutch fast and managed not to dump it. That took a while to fix.
