yj ladder bar

I am 16 and own a jeep yj i am proboably about to start a soa and ford



8.8 axle swap. I would like to know if there will be any track bar issues or if i will have to replace it. And this may sound like a completly stupid question,(but like i said im only 16 and the only way i will learn is by asking), could a sturdy ladder bar take the place of a traction bar?

A 95 YJ has no "track bar" that I know of. I am not familiar with the Ford

8.8, but I know Scout and Waggy 44 axles work great.

All YJ's have track (Panhard) bars front & rear.

Donny I took the track bar off my YJ both front and rear a long time ago. To me I never noticed either one missing. I have an 8.8 installed and I am SOA. You will need some type of anti-wrap bar to control the axle wrap in the rear. My idea of a ladder bar like the drag racers and would not allow flex. Several places (MORE, Skyjacker and others) sell anti-wrap bars. You could also make your own. Jim F.

Thanks for all the very usful info thus far ---keep it comin :)---.

But i was looking at more's sterring corection kits for the soa (they said i needed it) and was wondering if it has to be bought, if there are any alternatives, or if i can buy the parts sepretly for cheaper they want 400 bucks for theres.
