-- MY Rio is a 2003 and in the last few weeks has been making this rustling kinda sound. It only does it when i get up to 4rpm. I accelerate It does it then once I get going it stops. Any ideas what it may be? Jen

Could be pre-ignition. Called pinging, although it doesn't really sound like a ping, more like marbles getting crushed. Sometimes caused by bad, low octane gas or too much ignition timing. Try a tank of Premium next fill up. (yeah, I know .... $$$)
