the low oil pressure cut off/warning light sender has 3 terminals on.
what do they do?.
Can i simply run a warning light off it or do i need to replace the sender and use a different one for this (assuming that the std RR/LR v8 item will fit instead).
I have tried a wire on each of the terminals in turn and no signs of it illuminating my low pressure warning light.

It's documented on the Yahoo group but I've a recollection I used one of the single wire ones ala Rangie classic.
Then fastened together the other two which supply the feed to the fuel pump.
here is the extract from the Yahoo group,
The oil pressure warning light is in the White wire from contact 'I' of the oil pressure switch to the supply side of fuse terminal 7.
Normal connections to the oil pressure switch are identified as follows

This is when looking at the back of the switch although, in place, in can be in any orientation in 360 degrees. With the 'mouth' at the bottom (for convenience), Pin 'I' and Pin 'P' are vertical spade terminals and Pin 'S' is horizontal.

The White wire connects to Pin 'I', Brown-Red to Pin 'S' and the two White-Yellow wires to Pin 'P'.

Thanks. thats what i was after.. So the light should be on the oil pressure switch's faces right eye? I did try that so its probably knackered. I dont think i had an oil pressure light before either.
