That dreadful US prog JAG is on and they are in Russia helping fight the Chechens or some similarly daft story and up rolls a Russian convoy - 1 Gaz Jeep thingy followed by 2 RHD 101 GS soft tops on bar grips full of AK47's!
Glad to see the ruskies had good taste during the cold war. . . . .

I vaguely recall a company trying to import GAZ 66 trucks, or similar, to nibble at the Unimog market. But it's probably a lot easier to find a couple of 101s. And, lets face it, there's an illusion that the Russians built primitive stuff, and the 101 has that sort of look.
there is a 101 on the sas program the bbc are running on sundays at the moment.
