My rear passenger door lock electrics failed, (door locks but won't unlock electrically). My supplier did not have a new lock (elecrics and lock are one unit and has to be replaced. Cost A$ 185) so offered a second hand one @ A$ 100. Replacement is a finicky job requiring double joints without totally removing the windows. The replacements locks electrics worked fine so I replaced the locks without checking the striker plate release which jammed the moment the door closed. I managed to remove door lining without damage but it took 2 weekends work and a can of wd 40 to finally spring the door. I have just replaced the original as I can live with unlocking the door from the inside, as against having a permenantly closed door. I'm posting this a a warning to anyone else who has this problem, to fully check out second hand parts regardless of being told they are in perfect condition. Regards Henry (in Australia)
