It probably is. Didn't stop it from flopping because it was too damn expensive and not enough etter than the Landie, did it now?

It is!

Soft long-travel independent suspension all round, powerful Rolls-Royce engine, 4 forward and 4 reverse gears all in high or low box, fully encapsulated engine and snorkel allowing 9ft water depth wading without any modification. . . . . . . ;-)

If it wasn't so heavy and too complex for squaddies, LR would've never sold another vehicle to the army! :)

responces on Google , it should be an interesting thread to read , bearing in mind that the champ was so successful they only built 13500 of them. I'm not even going to start on axles............. Steve the grease
