Just back from a cracking weekend. Great course, good weather (mostly) and LOTS of fun in our 101. Helped to pull out a Nissan something-or-other that got totally stuck in a wet muddy gully. Drove all over and enjoyed watching other peeps' faces as we wriggled along routes they thought we wouldn't fit down/over/through.
Great place, great craic with all-comers welcome. Got to be done again.

I was the marshal in the Disco 3 !! Glad you had a good day, course was excellent, plenty of mud to play in :-)Only downside for me was puncturing a brand new Grabber AT2 tyre, only had it fitted yesterday :-(

I hate water. I am going to do some serious waterproofing. I think the lambda probe is upset - it was immersed at the exhaust, and the TPS I fitted on the back of the block behind the carbs is now less than fully functional...
Oh, and don't forget to check the axle breathers are fitted....

Don't like lots of mud I'd rather have something more technical to deal with.
Oh nasty but where is the hole? If in the tread (center 2/3rds I think is the limit) and not too big get it repaired for just a few quid.
Given the weather we had (and it was torrential last night) Mud was pretty well inescapable, but it wasn't the raison d'etre for the weekend.
There's a huge amount of technical stuff too. And a rock road ( but that wasn't available this weekend)
You couldn't meet a friendlier or more helpful gang.

There are lots of tricky technical sections at Tong, it's the best all roaund off-road site in the UK that I have been to. Not a bash-n-crash place at all, routes are all graded blue, red or black according to severity. Don't knock it until you have tried it as they say :-)
Tyre is ruined, a piece of metal stabbed right through the sidewall and tore a half inch hole, definaitely not repairable :-(

I wasn't knocking it just stating that getting covered in mud and/or stuck in the stuff is not my idea of fun. Just looked at where it is, SW of Leeds, thats not a ridiculous distance 2 1/2 hours or so.
