You must be doing something wrong, i use a 1965 IIa for everyday transport and to work and back every day, and i wouldn't be with any other car.

Ok, it's a bit nippy on winter mornings, but no colder than walking.

or just drive over your neighbours rose bush. you can do a 3 point turn on any street, just depends how much junk you have to push over in the process. fences, lightposts etc.

Reasonably. Once i fit the hard top and get the drivers door sorted so it actually fits in the hole designed for it.......

Typical, isn't it. The passenger door fits like a glove and seals, drivers door just doesn't fit and doesn't seal anywhere along the top.

Heheheheh, mine, albeit an S3, shut OK, but the door top was so rotten I could actually wave through the gap if I pushed a bit ... and the sliding window permanently didn't, so was open all the time ... ;)

Mm. My drivers side the sliding glass has fallen out, thanks to DLS Replacement Door Tops which don't come with the little piece of ally angle to stop the window channel falling apart at the top.

hehe. Just even discussing that with beamends Richard, it's in a thread somewhere - he has all the bits and bobs for assembling door tops, even the screws!

next on the list of "things it would be nice to get for Edward II", along with a few other things like replacement rear reflectors (one manky, one missing) and new wipers.

I've just had my compensation cheque from my old job, so monday morning is Series Parts Ordering time so i can finish all those little jobs on my IIa
