brake master cylinder

I was told the brake master cylinder was 'recent' when I bought the land rover a year ago, it looked 'recent' however the thing is now leaking. As far as I can make out it's leaking from the seals between the reservoir and the cylinder. Is this likely? seems an odd place to leak from as it's not under pressure. the inner wing below it was wet with hudrolic fluid so I tied a clean rag around the cylinder and reservoir for a couple of days and today it was soaked but the copper pipes and joints seem ok.

can I whip off the reservoir and pop-in a couple of new seals? or is it more complicated than that?

*IF* you can source the seals it's that simple. Remember to use plenty of rubber grease on them or otherwise they'll leak again as they are very easy to damage.
