Mar 06, 2004 9 Replies

I forgot to put in the last post that the Disco sprung a leak in the same car wash ( someone is going to say " dont wash it ") there is water coming in to the passenger footwell from above - deos anybody have any ideas as where to look to begin with ?

a Disco with a leak unheard of I'm sure!!!

IIRC the sunroof drains are prime culprits

IIRC the sunroof drains are prime culprits

Where do they exit ?

By the sounds of it, into your shoes...

My Disco 1 didn't *have* sunroof drains. Easiest thing is, tip some water down them, and see if the passenger's feet get wet.

I believe down the B pillar and the A pillar.

Mr Muscle oven cleaner is also a recommended cure...

I gave my Granny a good rodding with a stiff 30 amp wire....

ahem

No more dribbling problems there after.

Yep, and to be fair, apart from a cold start cam shaft rattle and an intermitent flashing cruise control lamp it's a good motor... well for pootling around in.
