My 2002 defender had been standing a while. I got in to drive it and my clutch only got some bite right at the bottom and I stalled it about 4 times. I topped up the fluid and it got a bit better but only to a point where it was drivable.
Any advice?

same thing happened to my 2002 defender - had to replace the clutch master cylinder. Once I removed it you could see the fluid leaking out the back. Replaced it and has not reoccurred.

This seems to be happening quite a lot on 2002/2003 vehicles. Replacement does appear to be a proper fix.
