Ennzed sounds good to me sitting here. I think it might not look so good sitting there... but that's just the "grass is greener" aspect. I think part of the problem is actually getting in - easy enough to go an visit, but staying permanently requires a job etc. in advance, either that or serious money or youth and qualifications, both of which I lack.
I wouldn't pay too much attention to the moaners in here.. It's a national epidemic, fueled by fake articles in the press. Just recently there was an article about NHS nurses being pulled off normal duties to turn Muslims' beds to face mecca 5 times per day, it ran in a few papers including the Daily Express, whole thing was a total fabrication like half the articles in the papers.

A couple of years ago, a few guy wanted to get the train from london to manchester to see a football game.
They found that it was cheaper to do a "ryan air" type flight to brussels, change at brussels and fly into manchester that it was to get the train.

I have heard that the cheapest way to get from Edinbrgh to London is to fly, except for going by coach, which takes 12 hours or so.
At least they could buy some decent Belgian beer at the airport to while away the connection wait.

You'd have to catch them first! Fast little buggers. When I lived up there, they'd keep me awake at night scratching on the window.
Oz has far to many poisonous, biting, stinging nasties. And theres some fairly unfriendly fauna too ;-)

They use their left legs, which leg is longer or shorter depends on what way they were facing on the hillside when they were born. We used to have great fun as kids sneaking up on them and turning them around and watching them hoot off down the hill. Probably why they scratched at our windows.
When haggises attack: get behind them so they turn round, then run downhill. They start to turn in the direction of the shorter leg and then the Coriolis Effect makes them spin out of control and they crash and burn. In the Southern Hemisphere, obviously, the opposite applies.
Nah they're generally pretty peaceful, other than at mating season, you don't want to be near a randy one.

It's just that I have this increasing feeling that we SHOULD be paying a lot for oil; there's a limited amount of it and we're using it at a profligate rate. I suspect that it'll last my lifetime, but I'm by no means certain - and as for the kids who are young now, who're getting on for 2 generations behind me, they're very likely to end up in a world where mineral oil is a scarce and valuable resource which people, being people, fight over. Oh, wait, they already do :-(

Nah, there are althernateies that are viable but the dudes that are making money from it the likes of Bush are making too much to be caused any pain at the mo.
Anyone who makes it viable will be likely to mysteriously disappear off the planet because of the loss in the oil market.
What may change things is if Iran ramp up the price as they have suggetsed to 200 dollars a barrel. Then the alternatives will be viable and no doubt unleashed by the likes of George W or his then counterpart.
As long as theres chips and fish there will be landrovers ;-)
