Hi, Have a '98 300 Disco, had the original screen replaced by AUTOGLASS on the 3rd June. Friday morning after we had rain, I find water coming in straight down the rear view mirror down onto the radio. Now, I know its not the sunroof leaking, because that leaks in a totaly different place. Took it back to AUTOGLASS and they said its a manufacturing fault.
"Its a common problem, we had to replace a screen in a one for a chap 3 times"
They got in touch with Land Rover and LR said that the roll over bars are mis-aligned or could be and cause it to leak. Now I was'nt very sure about this, so I found an exploded view of these bars in situ, and I cannot see that they would be affected at all during a windscreen replacement. The screen is bonded to the outer lip of the roof. Please also remember that the original screen never leaked! So, if LR knew about this "fault" thats fairly detrimental to the safety of their vehicle to their occupants, is it a LR fault or are AG feeding me bullshit and passing the buck?
