Hi I recently had a new fob coded for the alarm at the local Landrover agent. Everything seemed to be fine, now about a week later two things have started to happen.
1) The indicator lights sometimes flash, sometimes not, when the car is unlocked with the fob, but always flash when the car is locked, with the fob??2) If the car was unlocked previously with the fob and you didn't put the key in the ignition within about 3 minutes, when you did eventually try to start the car a little red key locked light used to flash on the dash, to show that the immobiliser was on, another push on the fob and the car could be started. That seems to have stopped working as well.
My question is could these things both have been caused by the apprentice at the dealer, when he coded the new fob? I would like to go back to the dealer with some sort of an idea as to what may be the cause, as we have had a bit of run in, in the past regarding servicing, or should I say lack of it, but being charged for it. Part of the reason I haven't named the dealer.
