Question. Is it possible to mount a Fairey overdrive unit which came from the gearbox of a 109 on a LT95 gearbox from a Range Rover? Or is a modification necessary for lever / handbrake? Which should be a fair price for a used unit ?

No, it won't fit. You need Range Rover overdrive, about =A3250 - =A3450. They come up occaisionally on ebay.
