fitting a snorkel

May 10, 2007 4 Replies

I have just purchased a safari snorkel and the install instructions mention and 89mm hole saw (3 1/2") does anyone know where to get one from I've tried everywhere, except obviously the place that sells them.

If anyone knows where please pray tell, or even better let me borrow theirs.

Many Thanks

Tony

I just marked a circle for the hole, drilled small holes around the circumference, hacksawed between the holes and then filed to shape. It didn't take that long, although if I had to do it a lot then I'd certainly try and find a hole saw.

although the online ordering thing seems to be up the shoot recently.

Got mine from Halfrauds ISTR and also the one for making the kinda not quite oval elongated holes too .... a nibbler?

Agreed. I've now done 2 LPG fillers and my mains socket on the 101 this way and it doesnt take long. use a nice new/sharp little drill to do all the holes.
