Gearbox / Transfer Box Experts in East Yorkshire, UK ?

Hi all,

I have a 1992 200Tdi 90 with a poorly sounding gearbox/transfer box. Does anybody know of anybody in this area that I could call to take a look?

I suspect its the main-shaft problem but arent sure.

If this is the case is it normal to have to replace both gearbox and transfer box with recon units or repair existing? If replace with recon, any recomendations?? Aschcrost Transmissions perhaps??

More North than East but you could give Maddison 4x4 a call.

They rebuild transfer boxes themselves but ISTR they get gearboxes rebuilt by a local specialist company. They'll be able to advise you on the cheapest/best option and their labour charges are realistic.
