HELP! Petrol in Diesel Engine!!!!

Please read the other posts in the thread. Petrol in the diesel fuel cannot cause uncontrolled revving. Higher concentrations will result in detonation and potential damage but ratios could be well above 50% for any problem. Lubrication of the injector pump is another potential issue and I would add half a pint of lube oil to the tank if ratios went above 50% petrol, just to be safe.

diesel = petrol with 30W oil

add some oil to the fuel it will not harm the motor. if anything you will produce a cool "007 smoke screen."

This is safer then burning up the motor.

Good Luck.

diesel doesn't freeze at winter temps it gels. some believe that the gel/plasma state is the 4th state of matter (Solid, liquid, gas being the other three). There are many commercial anti-gel additives to stop the gelling process in the winter months, adding petrol not one of them.
