Dad's IIA was called loppy because the drivers side was about an inch lower than the passenger side (springs needed seeing to).
Dad's III was called Blue Bottle (guess the colour).
My IIA was called Murgatroyd (in between times it was also called thing, invariably with some prefix or other).
Adrian

Many moons ago, when the earth was younger [1], an even younger builder lived up our road. He drove a battered pickup, large enough to be LHD. The exhaust blew magnificently, as it struggled to climb the hill. On the bonnet it carried, hand painted in white this proud legend:
'Starship Enterprise'

My 109 started off as 'George' (from the registration) but when I realised how much it cost to keep, realised it must be female, and therefore 'Georgina'.
Unfortunately I was overheard at work talking to another LR friend saying "I spent a couple of hours under Georgina on Saturday, greasing nipples and giving her a once over underneath whilst I was there". I tried to explain but it was hopeless...

My 110 is called Angus, by virtue of his initial registration being in Aberdeen. Wish I'd thought of the millenium dustbin name though, like it! My warp drive works just fine though, it's a 3.9! Also got an old SIII here at the moment, it's previous owner named it Clunk!!! How apt indeed. Badger.
Really? Tell me, did the minibus have a name when it were in your tender care? Did you or did you not laugh like unto a derisory laugh when it emerged that she had called herself Murgatroyd, aka Troydlemurg on arriving in the Rhondda?

nah, they mostly don't have names, or don't tell 'em to me.
