depends on the parameters for 'reasonably' I'd guess.

The Defender (Land Rover as it was known) was originally designed to be field servicable & repairable in a variety of otherwise hostile & primitive environments. AIUI this is still the case. Problem is that assmbling a Defender is labour intensive - makes perfect sense to shift production to a location where it becomes cost-effective.

And India is a place where skilled mechanic earns about £120 month and a graduate engineer earns about £8,000 to £10,000 a year...

As about 75% of the build cost of a Defender is labour you can do the sums yourself.
