Aye, it sure was for us last year. I just had the fright of my life, coming into leeds bradford airport tonight the plane got a serious dose of wind shear in 80 mph crosswinds etc, f*ck me we genuinly thought our time was up!! Luckily he got it up again just in the nick of time. sent to manchester, to be told you'll have to wait hours for your luggage & even then hours more for coaches. F*ck me, i know it's not their fault, but they took the piss leaving us on the plane for an hour, then telling us our luggage was on the carousel, it wasn';t there an hour & a half later.
It was getting a bit tense to say the least, luckjily the thing started, i ran for our case, ran outside & a got a taxi. A stunning £105 later we are home. Glad i did it too, as i realised LBA would be shut when the coaches got there (around midnight i reckon) so no taxi for us to gte home, we only live 3 miles away too.
Needless to say, the £105 will not be paid by me after the lies & pisstaking we had. He should have NEVER tried to land in those conditions, i felt like a crewmember on the 'Memphis Belle' Manchester was not windy at all. LB was incredible. You get used to s*it landings at LB due to it's position at the top of a mountain, but that was nuts.
