Okay guys - you MOT bods
I have welded the fron of my chassis on my 88 inch 2.25 petrol SWB Series 3.
I have double welded it, the chassis was so bad I had ot cut out a side and underneath. So I put 3 mm plate inside and seam welded it. Then put 2 mm plate on the outside and seam welded it, so in total 5 mm of metal seam welded in.
Looks fairly substantial and strong - is that sufficient for the MOT?

considering that the original chassis is about 2mm thick, I reckon your patching may be just a tad over specified. I spect if you made the whole chassis from 5mm the vehicle would weigh about an extra ton.
