If the oil light is coming on after 20 min (just as the oil is thinning out as it warms up!) and you are also getting noises, then I'm afraid the damage has already been done. Replacing the pump will only pump the oil more efficiently around the now-worn engine, won't generate any greater oil pressure if the bearing clearances etc have opened up. Give us a clue as to exactly what engine you have as there are 2 different pump types. You say it's a 3.9 but is it a serpentine belt (flat, multi-ribbed) front end or a plain v-belt? Sorry if above isn't what you want to hear, truth hurts sometimes. The oil light on these engines comes on at only a couple of psi, too late to prevent damage.
