N Plate Disco rear floor replacement

Hi All,

My N plate Disco is suffering from rot and the rear floor needs replacing, the job is too big for me, what sort of price can I expect to pay to have it replaced.

Can anyone explain the process of the floor replacement to me please.

Many thanks

James

I recently had the following done in my 95 Disco. Rear floor replaced, cross member under rear floor replaced, driver's wheelarch repaired (welded) and it all cost including parts £338.00.

Take out the carpets remove fuel tank drill out the spot welds holding the floor to the cross member (as an option you can replace the x member which saves the drilling out bit) cut out the floor panel (angle grinder cut off tool or shear) make good the edges weld in replacement panel I intend to plug weld so a few blind rivets to hold everything tight before I fire up the mig seal the seams repaint and slonk rustproofing - probably waxoyl across the job . Now the weather forecast has gone rather nasty so it wont be this week. The whole process was covered in LRW which you can buy from the website

Hi James, being disabled I cannot do any of these jobs myself which is why I had to take it to the local Landrover specialist, Land Ranger but I live in the Wigan area.

Darren Burgess did the following write-up of the job on his website
