Hi, I'm in need of a clutch slave cylinder for my V8. The specific part number is FTC5071L, I'm reliably informed :0) Has anyone got one of these for sale, or know of a place I can order it from, as lack of this part is stopping me completing the gearbox replacement and alteration marathon :0)

FTC5071 is a clutch slave cylinder for a V8, I don't know what the extra L is about, mister beamends will be along with info soon I'm sure, about £13.

Yeah, but I've already got two cylinder's, both for the V8, but neither work. Evidently there's a few different ones, not helped by the fact I've just bolted an R380 and a new transfer box in, so I was quite pleased to find out exactly which one I needed :0)

It is indeed FTC5071 - the L seems to have been dropped, not that it appears to have meant much anyway....
We do two "flavours" - Britpart - £15.16 inc VAT or Delphi (Lockheed) - £30.55 inc VAT

Ah! there could be your dilemma....
The R380 Box uses FTC5072 - which one to use would depend (I suppose) on which bell housing your using.

Cheers Rich :0) See later post on V8 gearbox....This has been a marathon rebuild, s'taken longer to do the gearboxes/mainseals than it did to redo the heads and brakes!!
