new brake discs

Is it worthwhile investing in some of the aftermarket discs & pads or should I stick to LR own brand. It is for a 93 Range Rover. I have been looking at the Mintex groved design but not sure they do them for RR although they do mention Discovery in their listing.

Thanks

Have a look at the brakes upgrade page of my website....

In order of value / improvement to your brakes fit: hoses first then new pads then discs

Speaking as someone with no affiliation to David other than having bought his products...

I did all three, and they are great!

hrm. Just done pads on ours...

the ones coming off had 3mm+ on the thinnest, up tot about 5mm on the fattest, and appeared fine.

Still, new ones on it now. Lockheed/Delphi. The ones that came off were Mintex, but I doubt this has much to do with the brake hassle mentioned elsewhere. Maybe it does, I dunno.

with new unbedded-in pads on, it felt exactly like the old ones did on occasions when they weren't working right. New ones, even with only about

30 miles on 'em, seem better so far.
