I have just finished rebuilding a pair of front brake calipers for my Defender. I would like to paint them to delay the inevitable corrosion, is there a paint suitable for use in high temperature applications such as calipers that anyone can recommend??

There used to be a black spray on, called Sperex I think, which was sold mainly for motorcycle exhausts, but which I reckon would be fine for calipers.
Your local motor factors should have some - simply called caliper paint. Normally purchased by Nova owners wishing to paint their brake drums bright colours, so don't be suprised if you only see red or yellow tins on the shelf! otherwise Frost automotive have some which I've used in the past

Matt Black motorcycle cylinder head paint - theoretical improvement in heat tranfer to air as well but I dread to think how minor that is! If you use matt black you'll look less like a poseur as well !
In a similar vein, barbeque or stovepaint is damned good.
