Rangie seat control problems - and it's not the switch!

Okay, my '93 passenger seat will not move at all.

- I've cleaned the switch and checked it for continuity; it's fine.

- I checked all the fuses and they're ok

- I checked the 'always hot' leads running into the switch, and they get power

Since all four of the motors don't work, I guess it's some connection between the switch and the motors that is bad. Any pointers? It's hard to see what's going on under there. Thanks.

Seth.

Hmm The standard service procedure for a *spit* Jeep Cherokee KJ *spit* with the same problem is to hit the motors with a hammer.

Can you get to the motor wires at all ? Is it just four bolts to lift the seat out and poke at it ?

Steve, I could reach the front two bolts, but the seat is moved too far back for me to reach the rear bolts. All I can do is get to the wires from behind the seat. I may try to manually turn the motor(s) to move the seat forward and in that way remove it... don't know if that'll work though.
