From my own experience with having this job done by a pro bodyshop, I'd suggest that you need to factor in finding a lot more rot than just the obvious corner sections. We had to do some extra fabrication work to get enough decent metal to actually weld to!
And I have to say that the only reason the job was being done in the first palce was because of major rust probs on the body cappings which required the roof off so it made sense to deal with the b/head corners at the same time. On the face of it, they didn't look too bad. Until we went digging.
Managed without taking the d/board out - the w/screen should come out without having to take the roof off.
