rr 3.5efi hunting

i have a 1988 range rover 3.5efi that is converted to lpg it runs fine on lpg on petrol how ever occassionaly the engine hunts when it is idleing or low non load revs has any one any ideas what could be causing this could my petrol mixture to weak or to rich
