Hello,
Can anyone help me with my choice between a TDV8 or a V8 petrol?
Environment is important to me so a V8 on LPG is probably the best choice. But has anyone experience with a RR Sport on LPG?
Thank you,
Dino

Er, the environment is important to you? No, I don't think so as you wouldn't be considering any sort of Range Rover if this was really the case. If you want to have a Rangie it's probably better to admit up front that you don't give a stuff about the environment.
True, it is not the best environmental choice to buy a RR. (on the other hand how environmental is the Prius with al his batteries? How many years do you drive with a Prius? How environmental are al the old cars still driving around without any kind of catalyst?) (Check out the "Dust to dust" research:
But I really like the RRS and if I buy one maybe I can buy the most environmental version! Of course we can start here a discussion of how environmental a RRS is but this was not my question!
Dino737 Hi,
the TDV8 is a far less fuel thirsty engine and it develops better torque figures than the V8 petrol one. Petrol as a fuel is more complicated to produce and requires more quantity of dino juice to be made.
On top of everything the TDV8 engine can be made to develop a far faster vehicle (tuning the TDV8 is more easy and efficient than the petrol V8 one)
Take care Pantelis
P.S. The TDV8 is a FLYER. Drive a tuned one and then drive a tuned V8. This will answer your question and on top of everything will make you feel more ecofriendly than driving a petrol gas-guzzler.
If the TDV8 can be converted to run on PPO (SVO) then that's doubly cool. Though it might be wise to wait until the 3 years manufacturers warranty has expired.

LPG is still a dino fuel. Diesel can be obtained from renewable sources. Can the petrol V8 run on bio-sourced ethanol?
Not exactly, I have RR TDV8 and the engine is wonderful. Stronger than expected and with a quite low fuel consumption. I get roughly 13,5l per
