RR sport - What to do after wading in sandy water?

hehe I agree, if it was my old 110 I would not even think about it, I just don't know about these new fangled (expensive) things, I assume the RR has axle & gearbox breathers up to a suitable height??

Is that water over the bonet due to bow wave/3' deep water or water over bonnet thrown up and forward from the wheels. Go through an inch or so of water at just over 30mph in my DII and 50% of the displace water is chucked up and forward which you then drive through... If you aren't used to puddles I can imagine this being a little disconcerting. B-)

Mine looks like that most of the time, it gets a wash once a year in the spring to get the salt off.

Agreed I can imagine fine sand setting like concrete in the coolers unless flushed out fairly quickly.

IMHO a dealer should advise correctly in warranty or not. I'd also have a look in the handbook to see if it has anything about wading, should it have plugs fitted for deep water (how deep is deep?). I know there is a drain hole in the bottom of the bell housing on my DII, I'd not like the thought of desert sand getting washed in there...

Suitable height? If it's anything like SWMBO's Freelander, then the breathers are no higher than the top of the wheel.

Same as the Disco 3, breathers run up behind the rear taillights for the rear axle and high up in the bonnet for front/gearbox etc. Car will be fine after wading, only worry on these is electronics so if they have all survived then it will be fine.

As said earlier, it's what they are designed for :-)
