One of my neighbours is daft enough to have an open, unprotected wireless LAN, which I can jump straight on to if I want. They've not even password protected their router, so I can go into the router GUI if I choose to do so, see the IP addresses of their client machines, etc.
One option here would be to cancel my ADSL subscription and get free internet access forever. But, being moral, what's the best way to draw this to their attention (ie, can I send them a network message or something) given that I don't know which neighbour it is.
Reconfiguring their router would doubtless draw it to their attention, but given they've no idea how to set it up in the first place, I don't rate their chances of sussing it out.
It's quite amusing to think I could set up the security and lock them out of their own network...
TIA David
