Now this is something I can relate to. :)

The best mugs I've found are from Starbucks, albeit that they're priced=20 at around =A315-20. I have a starbucks one that rocks and I used to (until= =20 it got swiped when I worked at BT) have one that locked shut as well.=20 Had a rubber seal on it so it didn't leak. I could make a cuppa at 8am,=20 open it at 10am and it would still be hot enough to drink at 2pm.

Bit expensive though...

But I don't call them cupholders, more like cup *rests*. In the Disco, you could put a can or mug of the right size in the cupholders that lived in the dash and it would stay there no matter what, just within reach of the left hand. A true Cupholder among cupholders. In the Rangie, a can/mug on top of the cubby would tip off at the first sight of a corner and dump the contents in your left jacket pocket, if it stayed there long enough - I reckon my left elbow would knock it off before I had reversed out of the drive. It's seriously more use for the people in the back. Cupholder, schmupholder. It's an INDENTATION, nothing more. Worst design feature of the P38A (and conversely, one of the best on the Disco II.

I still do. Or at least I did until I realised that having 5 gallons in the garage on permanent standby was turning me into an alky. I used to bring it into the house in a 2-litre jug, and when I found myself refilling it twice during an evening, I decided that cans were a healthier option.

Isn't this just a little involved for a quick hot drink while under way? I can just see their faces when I stop on the way to work to collect some driftwood, light it with a flamethrower and then settle back for "a couple of minutes" while the kettle boils and I can make my coffee. And I thought taking my second slice of toast and marmalade with me in the car was the height of decadence.

All they have to do is buy them in from Taiwan or Korea. Perhaps they could take a Hyundai Santa Wotsit, stick their logo on it and double the price.

But they'll never taste the same as home brew beer. Might have to take up making it myself. Its one of the things that I miss not having when I go and visit Mum. When Dad was alive he always used to have some in the fridge for when I got there. I can almost taste it thinking about it now.

Been to Halfords this morning and they had a stainless thermos flask and stainless insulated mug. The mug looks better than others I've seen as the lid is a screw on and has a sliding seal over the hole. £15
