Series III restoration 2

Apr 04, 2008 2 Replies

I have been think about the future of my Series 3 109 (Sandy) I did a restoration about 6 years ago and got Sandy to a good standard. Six years of use & about and a little neglect and its time to look at another refresh to get her though the next 5-10 years. Sadly this time round I don't have the time to do the restoration myself and wanted to see if anybody could recommend somebody to do a restoration. I am looking for either a full chassis up rebuild or effectively a custom build using my series III as a donor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You couldn't have done much of a restoration if it's only lasted 6 years. :-)

Your probably right (I did do most of the wotk myself), although I have seen vehicles in much worse condition described as being in A1 etc. I'm sure it will last another 10 years without major problems. Its just a question of standards. New doors, dash top and a re-spray would make it a very good example again. But I want near concourse and possibly a new v8 installing which is beyond me in time and complexity.
