Idiot, should have done the job myself. Wonder how long it would take me to swap it round, all the nuts should be easy to remove as they are new.

Depends how comfortable you are handling the springs, if you get it wrong they can shoot out and make a mess of you. If you have the right kit to compress them or can raise the vehicle enough to take the weight off them then fair enough, seems silly to sweat over it when you've already paid someone to do it though.

On a defender he'll be able to do it easy enough. If you want any help, give me a call matey.

Two of us would be about 2 hours.

I need to use it tomorrow morning and as I am off out tonight I'm stuffed. I'll take it back Mon and get him to sort it. Will have to take it easy off-roading tomorrow.

remember its going to be twice as hard to do unless you have two sets of compressors because both a front and a back will need to off simultaneously in order to effect the change .If you only have the one set then it means removing the compressors each time to swap onto the other wheel which is when the buggers are at their dodgyest. I'd make them do it, but I'd never use them again for sure.

I'd doubt you could damage anything, but I'd guess there's a chance that the driveshafts might be a little too far askew, and that something in the UJ's could foul. Not much chance off-roading, but I wouldn't drive on the motorway for long or fast. (For LR values of fast, of course)

Well it managed OK today off-roading up at Tong today, back wheels hit the arches a few times due to the springs being too short but hey-ho, it's off back Monday to be sorted.

I'm gonna have to get up there soon ... it's not that far from Doncaster, compared to other off-road sites of any size.
