Smoke screen

Mite be worth a play then, but it prolly wants a engine inplace refurb, shells, rings and head recon. (500 miles a litre) My car (citroen, petrol, 130k) was smoking badly and prolly using a litre every 1000 miles (big clouds at start up and a big cloud when pulling away in traffic q's) head off replace stem seals, now it's nice no burning oil smell.

on a similar note, i pulled the head off one of my briggs and stratton powered lawn-mowers yesterday, one that was smoking quite badly (oil smoke that is). the build-up of solid burnt oil rubbish in the chamber was unbelievable, hardly any room for gas to get into the bloody thing.

did you have a look at the cambers after pulling the head off Angus??

Sam.

It wasn't too bad just a light carbon film inside
