SPRAYING

a gravity fed gun is used for spraying things like car roofs or bonnets when you have to reach over them , when a normal suction gun would be tilted over too far and you may also stand chance of dripping paint everywhere out of the breather hole .

gravity gun also usefull to do around and under the sill areas where a suction gun pot would touch the floor etc .

if you notice the gravity guns nozzle is at an angle of about 45 degs compared to the suction gun being 90degs to the pot .

Oooh. sounds like a useful kind of device!. I've just started buying my own spraying kit, and have just done some of my car (with a normal suction gun), and was wondering what the best way of doing some of the awkward bits (like sills) was.

Can you use a gravity gun all over, or does one need suction gun and a gravity gun ?

I suppose there will be cases with limited headroom where the gravity gun will be inconvenient, and I further suppose that it might not cope to well with spraying upwards, but then neither might the suction one, at that - although you could simply top up the suction one so that there was enough paint in it, or arrange for the pickup pipe inside to have the right sort of orientation.
