TD5 turbo question

I have a question about my TD5 Turbo

It has been working fine without problems, but I have noticed the following:

1) When I start the car up and pull away immediately without letting the car idle for 20-30 secs, the turbo doesn't activate till a few seconds later....

2) when I go over a particular stretch of bumpy tar road, the turbo sometimes cut out... It then takes a few seconds to come back..

Any ideas what this could be?

2002 TD5, 167000 km on clock.

Turbo lag, it takes a second or so to spin up to speed. Mine does the same.

Doubt that's the turbo.

Not to mention that the turbo doesn't provide much boost until the revs are approaching 2000. Thats when I can feel the boost start to take effect on mine. Pulling away, unless trying to burn rubber, the revs will be too low. I generally pull off and get into 2nd gear before needing to press the accelerator...

I suspect some other problem if it doesn't like bumpy surfaces.

I definitely am aware of turbo lag, however there is a very distinct difference between turbo lag, and NO TURBO at all on a td5 - it's like totally flat.

Not quite sure what sensing the TD5 uses, but I'd be looking for a dodgy connection on either the AMM or the MAP sensor.
