Time to part??

Hi group,

I've been lurking and occasionally posting here for many years. I have a

1998 P38 that with much regret I am now CONSIDERING selling. A change of job means now it sits in my garage most of the time. I've had it since
2002. I have had a quick look on ebay but haven't found anything comparable to even think of what she is worth. What do you people think it is worth and is anyone interested?

1998 P38 Range Rover ltd edition 4.6 V8, I am the 3rd owner from new,

106K, original owner was footballer Jamie Redknapp (copy of original V5 as proof), dark metallic blue, 3 spoke 18" LR wheels with Pirelli Scorpion tyres, full leather/wood, memory seats etc, DVD player, TV receiver, Playstation 1 (monitors in headrests), top spec Harmon Kardon sound system, 2001 new spec lights. All the luxuries, full climate control, cruise control, sunroof, side steps, NEW FULL ENGINE from RPI fitted May 2006, less than 6K miles since, Ashcroft front diff July
2006, other stuff in last 24 months - 4 new airsprings, recon AES compressor, new AC compressor, track rod etc all new, new battery, front outer CV boots, brake discs/pads, windscreen washer pump, memory wing mirror (white van attack), crankshaft sensor (£600 bill gearbox out includes gearbox filter/oil and new flex plate just 2 months ago), heater matrix O rings replaced, lots of TLC. Drives great and everything works okay, no leaks, in superb unmarked condition.

A lot less than you think, sadly.

why do you waste peoples time with a *non* reply ?

Rich's reply was useful. Your was a '*non* reply'!

Watch some RR's on ebay. an awful lot of them get listed, get no bids or dont meet reserve and then get relisted a week later. I have contacted a few people breaking them on there and got stupid prices for bits.

If you were'nt aware this is the FAN Land Rover group where we help each other out and take the p...s in the nicest way. An opinion was asked for and the reply was a valid opinion. If you expect a definative bid for the item you are in the wrong group. Have a nice day !!

Hi Gaz I'll let you look for the price

Rich observed they really don't seem to fetch as much as a Range Rover warrents IMO partly because its not really an enthusiasts car in the way the RRC and Disco are, no doubt due in part to the electrical niggles which cant be sorted by unplugging and require the infamous Rovacom diagnostic pity really .

Derek RRC and Disco Tdi200 'Kato'

bullshit, left him right where he started, you have e.s.p. perchance ? as in knowing what $ figure the op had in mind ? *A lot less than you think, sadly*. tells him sfa!

. If you expect a definative bid for the item

bid? bid on what? i`m not buying anything.....btw do you/have you owned a l/r or are you just another gumflapper ....ps what may p...s mean ?

I know what _would_ make it worthy of a reasonable price, or at least make it a very saleable motor... it would involve a slight _soiling_ of the passenger seat and a little "poetic license" with regards to the description of said soiling!
