Well apparently my option for connecting to the car's inbuilt stereo is a "Dension" unit. A snip at £174.99! Having said that, it does emulate a CD changer so I can change tracks, view the song names etc etc using the stereo controls, so it is rather more than just a basic lead. I think I'll stick to Radio 2 until someone comes up with something a bit cheaper!

No way, that's not going to be your only option. Typing "espace ipod" into google lists a unit for just over £100, and typing "renault espace stereo aux" lists devices for about £55 that give you two aux inputs for an espace.
Try using google to track down an aux input unit that fits your model and year of espace/stereo.
I swear I put that into Google, but nothing came up! Now I put it in again I can see the device you are talking about.
I'm not sure it will fit my Espace though because it looks like it has the ISO lead connection on it, and my stereo doesn't have that - it is integrated into the vehicle. I think maybe it is for an older Espace that had a proper stereo in. However, on the same page I see a Pioneer CD changer replacement device - I had a good look around and found that the changer is a Pioneer unit, so I might be able to switch that out for this device - and it is only £54.99!

Apparently Google is having real problems at the moment - see
He he, initial blockage is probably not caused by cars but the heavies. I was very surprised at how arctics where struggling on the A74 last year in just 1" of fresh snow and very slight uphill gradient. Many seemed to have only one driven axle, even on tractor units with 3 axles. Barely enough traction to keep moving let alone start off.
When out in slippery conditions, I'm usually more concerned about getting down a hill than up! I was out in the Audi in ice and snow a few years back and driving down a hill, ready to go up the next one. I stopped halfway down to let the other cars coming down the next hill to slither down to the bottom, zig-zagging all over the place trying not to hit each other as their wheels skidded and they shot down the hill out of control. Turning round at that point seemed prudent before getting stuck in the trough while people came over the hills, wondering why people were piled up at the bottom, then sliding down to join them.. Didn't fancy trying to get up the hill while dodging those coming down.
Ive got a One - Best thing ive ever bought.
