I think you'll find that a 101 ambi is a bit heavier than a classic RR. The
3.5 carb engine will be working hard, but then again, the SU-type carbs are more efficient when working hard, I think.
I'm still talking about my GS, with strombergs. From Lee's reply I'm optimistic I can get a bit better economy, 13mpg on lpg would be fine.
The 3.9 efi and auto box looks on the cards for fitting in the spare ambi with damaged body, that may be next year's project.

My 1999 RR 4.6HSE is LPG'd and drive it as gently or hard as I like it only returns about 11 - 13 MPG.

Which is exactly the same as I find with my 110, mind it does travel a lot smoother and straighter at 120kph now it's got new dampers and bushes at the back. So if the wind resistance is so much worse at speed why no change in consumption?
Still considering it, seems a shame to break a decent RR.
