very odd rover conversion

check out this site. has some very interesting rovers. i especially like the really long half-tracked defender i think it is.

I believe that vehicle is currently in the hands of Dunsfold, and that the tracks come off easily and replaced by normal wheels. It was a 50th Anniversary Tour vehicle, built 1998, methinks.

Is the Defender 90 to the left of the gold 90 with Mattracks finished as polished aluminium with silver painted bulkhead & body cappings? Looks very shiny to me and must be a nightmare keeping it that way! Here's a direct link to the picture if anyone missed it:

If you are referring to the Centaur, it's not a Defender, it's based on a SIII Stage 1 V8

correct. i was under the impression that the centaur was not as long as that, but i stand corrected. i should have noticed it wasn't a defender by the door-handles. very impressive looking best anyway.
