Warning lights on a Disco 2

Hi,

I have a Disco 2 "W" reg and today for the second time in a month I had 3 pings and the ABS, TC and SLS lights came on and stayed on.

I stopped the car switched on and they all stayed off.

The brakes seem OK and I went in a muddy area to test the TC and that seems to work OK.

The rear of the car seems to be at the normal height so SLS also seems to be OK.

I have booked the car into the local garage who say they specialise in 4X4 cars and say the have testbook.

Does anyone have any insight into what this might be and can the lights in fact come on when there is no problem?

Any thoughts gratefully recieved.

Regards,

ErnieH

This is normally the connector to the ABS unit on the passenger side wing - it can get loose/get dirty. Usual solution is to zip tie it closed :-)

My 3 lights last year were ABS TC and HD (Hill Descent). Started coming on during a slow right turn until after a few days they stayed on. Made me think it was a cable connection. As it was under warranty it was done at the dealer and they changed an ABS sensor on one of the wheels. If it had been me paying I'd still guess it was just a connection.
