Can anyone tell me the correct torque setting for the wheel nuts on an 86" series 1.

I always just tighten them by hand spanner/brace as much as I can. Never had one come loose that way, whereas I have had them come loose after being put on with an air tool.
If you're strong enough to shear them, please contact me off group :)

Do them up until they strip and then back them off 1/4 of a turn. ;-)
Seriously though, 100 lb-ft is plenty.
75 to 85 lb/ft - avoid the temptation to over-tighten them as they can pull through the rim - only seen it once, but the owners trousers were scrap....

Steel and alloy wheels are 130Nm (96 ft/lb).
